The State Significant Development project on the 3623m2 site involved the adaptive reuse of the existing heritage-listed home built in 1897, and conversion into a pre-school and primary school for up to 80 children for the community based, not-for-profit organisation.
The project required alterations to the existing house to meet compliance as an educational facility including addition of an external fire stair, construction of kiss and drop zone, on-site car parking for 12 vehicles, playground areas to the rear of the property, and associated tree removal, acoustic attenuation and landscaping .
Our team is incredibly privileged to have delivered the project on a site steeped in significance as one of the original homes of Hornsby.
