MARC COHEN
Director
Marc was promoted to the position of General Manager in July, 2009 and has been responsible for the procurement and delivery of more than $300 Million in projects since this year. Marc has recently overseen the restructure and rebrand of COWYN; and expansion to the Central Coast with the opening of a new office in Charmhaven.
KEVIN COHEN
Director
Kevin commenced his career as an apprentice carpenter under his father Maurice immediately after the completion of school. Now with over 40 years of experience, Kevin is an extremely accomplished builder. His hard working nature, ability to solve complex problems and exemplary knowledge of the construction industry has earned him the highest level of respect from all within the industry.
MAURIE COHEN
Director
Maurice commenced his career in the construction industry in 1981. He oversees construction of all COWYN projects across the southern and western regions of Sydney and has delivered some of our largest projects including the complex CASS Residential Aged Care Facility and the multi staged development at Christian Brothers High School, Lewisham. Maurice’s flexible approach and ability to build rapport with our valued clients ensure client satisfaction on every project
PATRICK COHEN
Director
Patrick commenced his career as an apprentice under his father and company founder H.M Cohen in 1977. Patrick jointly oversees the construction of all COWYN projects across the Central Coast and Newcastle Regions. His ability to deliver quality outcomes in strict time frames is outstanding; he consistently ensures compliance with strict WHS and quality standards; and leads and liaises effectively with trades personnel to achieve outstanding outcomes every time
RAYMOND COHEN
Director
Commencing his career as cadet in the early 1970's, Ray studied a Bachelor of Applied Science (Building) and progressed into the role of Construction Manager overseeing the construction of many large projects whilst being responsible for all major business decisions. Now with nearly 50 years of experience within the construction industry, Ray's foresight and leadership is the foundation for our company's success and growth.
SHAUN COHEN
Director
As graduate in Construction Management, Shaun is an experienced project manager and brings to each project highly developed technical skills around the coordination of consultants and contractors; programming and procurement; and project delivery.
Shaun has been responsible for the delivery of some of our most recent major projects delivered for key repeat clients
STEVE COHEN
Director
Stephen completed his apprenticeship with COWYN and became a qualified tradesman in 1998 before departing Australia for employment opportunities in the United Kingdom. Stephen returned to COWYN in 2007 and became a Director in 2017.. He has vast experience in an array of sectors, most recently working in complex live school, mixed development and industrial projects. He has an excellent eye for detail; a commitment to high level of finishes; and a tremendous track record for the delivery of challenging projects under budget and on time
ADAM JOHNSON
Director
Commencing his career as an apprentice at COWYN, Adam was awarded the prestigious MBA NSW Apprentice of The Year Award in 2004. Adam progressed through the ranks to become an outstanding Site Manager who consistently delivers projects to schedule and the highest level of quality. He works closely with COWYN’s WHS Officer to continually monitor and improve WHS practices; mentors junior staff throughout their apprenticeships and into senior roles; and conducts detailed quality control inspections on a monthly basis across COWYN sites Sydney wide
BRAD RATTENBURY
Director
A graduate in Building, Brad commenced his employment with COWYN in 2009. He is an experienced project manager and brings highly developed skills around the effective administration and process control of each project. His professional attributes included a track record of timely procurement to ensure programme adherence and successful negotiation of subcontractor engagement and payments. Brad is effective at managing document flow and develops excellent working relationships with clients and consultants.
KELL PORTASS
Director
Kell commenced his career with COWYN Building Group as an apprentice in 1997. He became a qualified tradesman in 2001 and progressed into the roles of Leading Hand, Site Foreman and then Site Manager in 2008. Kell jointly oversees the construction of all COWYN projects across the Central Coast and Newcastle Regions. He is skilled at managing challenging sites and balancing the demands of complex construction processes whilst managing various stakeholders in a live environment
