Established in 1954 as a small family operated building company under the name of H M Cohen, COWYN Building Group has developed over three generations into a dynamic family owned and operated construction company delivering quality projects ranging in value up to $25 Million in Commercial, Education, Aged Care, Health & Community Sectors
Servicing Sydney, Newcastle, and the Central and South Coast regions of NSW, COWYN has formed a reputation for delivering projects of the highest standard under the direct supervision of a working Director. This hands-on leadership ensures every project meets our strict WHS and Quality Assurance benchmarks while achieving exceptional results for our clients.
More than 90% of our work comes from repeat clientele, a testament to the long-standing trust we’ve earned. Our capability has been consistently recognised by the Master Builders Association of NSW, with Construction Excellence Awards received for the past thirteen consecutive years.
At the heart of our success is a committed and long-serving team, strengthened through our cadet and apprenticeship program. Each year we invest in the next generation of construction professionals, and today more than 70% of our workforce began with us as apprentices or cadets. Their loyalty and expertise as project managers, foremen and tradespeople are key to delivering projects on time, within budget, and to an outstanding standard.
