CBHS Lewisham - Gallagher Building Refurbishment

COWYN were delighted to return back to Christian Brothers’ High School, Lewisham some 30 years since our team first delivered works on the Gallagher Building at the site.

This challenging project completed within 16 working weeks involved the removal the existing covered area on Level 2; construction of new suspended Level 3 slab to provide additional 260sqm floor area; erection of structural steel roof framing connecting into existing roof; roofing including complete roof replacement; complete refurbishment of Levels 2 and 3 to form GLA’s, Withdrawal & Breakout Spaces; and partial refurbishment of Library on Level 1.

The newly created Open Terrace Area has spectacular views of the Inner West and will provide outstanding opportunities for the College for Social & Education engagements for the years to come.
