iMH (integrated mental health) is a 50/50 joint venture between Aurora Healthcare and Medibank that focuses on integrating inpatient and out-of-hospital care in shorter stay mental health admissions.
The challenging project involved a complete internal refurbishment of the existing rehabilitation facility to provide low impact mental health hospital encompassing 45 rooms, clinical and clerical facilities; the decommissioning of the existing hydro-therapy facility, installation of anti-ligature fixtures and fittings and associated works.
The refurbishment focused on upgrading and modernising patient facilities, rooms and ensuites. The project included a comprehensive strip-out of existing rooms & ensuites, followed by structural alterations and the installation of new masonry to create updated spaces. Additionally, lightweight partitions and linings were supplied and installed to enhance privacy and functionality.
