St Pius X College, Chatswood - Block B Refurbishment

COWYN were engaged to complete the detailed refurbishment of the existing Block B Building at St Pius X College to create new contemporary learning spaces throughout Term 4 & the 2021 Christmas Holiday period.

Scope included detailed demolition and strip out of existing two storey building; installation of fibre cement underlay over existing timber floors sealed with a non-combustible sealant to form a continuous smoke seal; replacement of existing timber windows with new aluminium framed windows; installation of new ceiling and wall linings including laminate finish wainscotting on fire rate board, pinboards and whiteboards; new mechanical and electrical services throughout; upgrade existing entry stairs and external tiling including new perforated aluminium balustrades and handrails, nosings and tactiles.
